TitleChert breccia enclosed in sphalerite
DescriptionThis is a sample of breccia. The angular clasts are made of chert (fine grined SiO2), the matrix around them is sphalerite (ZnS). The chert replaced dolomite in an orignal dolostone prior to brecciation. The sample is 17 cm across.
