DescriptionFaujasite belongs to the Tectosilicate Zeolite group. It is found in basaltic volcanics, metapyroxenite, also with augite in limburgite. Faujasites chemical formula is (Na2,Ca,Mg)[Al2Si4O12]ยท8(H2O). It was named after Barthelemy Faujas de Saint Fond (1741-1819), a French geologist and writer on the origin of volcanoes.
