DescriptionJosephinite (awaruite) is a naturally occurring alloy of nickel and iron. It is rare. Most specimens come from river gravels and placers associated with ultramafic rock bodies and serpentinites. It contains between 65 and 75% nickel. This specimen is 12 cm across.
