DescriptionThe Exotica Mine, Chile, is known for colorful and (some) uncommon copper carbonates and silicates. This photo shows a gravel cemented by green-blue chrysocolla (CuSiO3·nH2O) – typical of some of the major ore zones. The Exotica Mine is at Mina Sur, south of Chile's Chuquicamata deposit. It is 9 cm across.
