Title | Speleothems in Lehman Cave |
Description | The rooms in Lehman Cave do not have particularly high ceilings, so many of the stalactites and stalagmites (two varieties of speleothems) have joined to form columns that extend from ceiling to floor. Here they span about two meters (six feet). This photo also shows much flowstone, the smooth surfaces of limestone formed by continuous precipitation over long times. |
