DescriptionChrysotile is a fibrous mineral that does not burn or rot, is resistant to most chemicals, is flexible, and possesses high tensile strength. This unique combination of properties makes chrysotile an extremely useful material that has for many decades been established as a major component of lightweight reinforced cement products, friction materials, high temperature seals and gaskets, and a host of other applications. This sample is about 9 cm in length.
