DescriptionCrocidolite is the asbestos form of riebeckite, an amphibole with composition Na2(Fe,Mg)5Si8O22(OH)2. Crocidolite is a minor asbestos mineral, mined and used because of its form and its resistence to chemicals. It is also one of the most carcinogenic of the asbestos minerals.
