Description | Tiemannite, HgSe (mercury selenide), is an opaque mineral with brittle fracture. Altaite, PbTe (lead telluride), is a very minor ore of lead and tellurium. Altaite is a member of the galena group of minerals. Its properties are very similar to galena as it shares basically the same structure. It has a white to yellowish-white color. |
