Description | Most of this sample, 6 cm across, is pentlandite, a yellowish-bronze sulfide of iron and nickel, (Fe,Ni)9S8. Pentlandite is found in masses nearly always associated with the iron sulfide pyrrhotite, but only minor pyrrhotite is in this specimen. |
