Description | Jalpaite, a silver-copper sulfide, forms by low-temperature hydrothermal precipitation. It is the lead gray material in this photo. Also present is a very small amount of green chrysocolla, a hydrated copper silicate, and some very tarnished disseminated silver. This specimen is 2.5 cm across. |
