Description | Breithauptite, NiSb, is a light coppery red mineral consisting of nickel antimonide. This specimen contains a few small grains (center, tarnished do brown) in an unidentified fine grained (greenish) matrix. The white mineral is calcite. Breithauptite commonly occurs in in hydrothermal calcite veins associated with Co-Ni-Ag ores. This sample is 6 cm across. |
