TitleStibnite from Pribram, Czechoslavokia
DescriptionThis sample, 9 cm long, is almost entirely stibnite. Stibnite, Sb2S3 (antimony sulfide), when coarsely crystalline, often forms as fine crystal clusters of long curved crystals. The curving of the long bladed crystals is due to twinning where one twin plane bends the crystal one direction and another twin plane bends it in the other direction. Stibnite is an important ore mineral of antimony (Sb).
LocationCzechoslavokia. Near Pribram.
