DescriptionThis view, from Highway 24, is typical of many in Capitol Reef National Park. This cliff displays all the major Triassic units: the lowest cliff former is the Moenkopi Formation, above that is the slope of the Chinle Formation, above that is the red cliff of the Wingate Sandstone, and at the top is the whitish Navajo Sandstone.
