TitleNative copper
DescriptionThis sample of native copper is about 6 cm across. Almost all of the sample is copper, but tarnishing has given it a variety of colors. Native copper was once a highly prized copper ore mineral, but most large deposits have been mined out. Minor occurences of the mineral are, however, widespread.
