TitleDolomite
DescriptionThis is pinkish “pearly” dolomite, CaMg(CO3)2 (calcium magnesium carbonate). The dolomite crystals are basically rhombohedral in shape, but most of the crystals are intergrown or have been modified in some way and so do not appear as perfect rhombs. The specimen is about 8 cm across.
