| Description | Flint is a microcrystalline variaty of quartz. Quartz is the most abundant mineral on Earth. It is found in nearly every geological environment and is at least a component of almost every rock type. Often it is the primary component of a rock. It has many different forms, among them, citrine, amethyst, rose quartz, milky quartz, smoky quartz and rock crystal. It has the chemical formula of SiO2. |
