Title | Lithographic limestone |
Description | This is a sample of the famous Solenhofen Limestone (late Jurassic), a lithographic limestone from Germany. Lithographic limestones are dense, homogeneous and exceptionally fine grained. This stone is quarried as building stone and also because it contains some spectacular fossils.
