Title | Thenardite |
Description | Thenardite, Na2SO4, is one of the many evaporite minerals found at Searles Lake (a mostly dry playa) in California, USA. It easily dissolves in water and so is quite rare. It crystallizes in arid regions as a salty precipitate as well as in dry caves and mines as an efflorescence and as a crusty deposit around fumaroles. |
