Description | Variscite is a relatively rare aluminum phosphate mineral. It is light to dark green or blue-green and may be confused with turquoise if bluish. Some variscite is prized as a semi-precious stone. This sample, 5 cm in longest dimension, also contains (tarnished) pyrite. |
