Description | Breccias are coarse grained clastic rocks composed of large angular and broken rock fragments. They are related to conglomerates, but conglomerates contain rounded clasts. Many breccias are made of siliceous minerals, but this one is almost all calcite. The rock fragments are up to about 1 cm across. |
