The rocks of Magnet Cove are part of a 100-million-year old igneous complex containing rare and unusual rock types. Many of the rocks are alkalic and silica poor, and so contain rare and unusual minerals. Magnet Cove is a world-famous mineral collecting spot. This specimen is 10 cm across. |
