TitleFantasy cut citrine (quartz)
DescriptionCitrine is the yellow variety of quartz (SiO2. Minor iron impurities cause citrine's color. Citrine is less common in nature than amethyst, and it has the same general occurance. The difference between citrine and amethyst is only the oxidation state of the iron impurities present in the quartz. This photo is a fantasy cut Brazillian citrine and is 10.06 carats.
