DescriptionAquamarine is the blue, blue-green or aqua variety of the mineral beryl (Be3Al2Si6O18). Aquamarine is colored by trace amounts of iron in the crystal structure. Some gem aquamarines have been heat treated to produce the popular blue-green colors from less desirable yellow or pale stones. This gem is marquise cut and 1.42 carats.
