DescriptionGarnierite is normally a pale apple-green colored mineral, chemically a hydrous silicate of nickel and magnesium. It is an important ore of nickel and is found in New Caledonia, Russia, and Southern Africa. In the United States it occurs in Oregon and North Carolina. This sample is about 6 cm in length.
