TitleTriphylite
DescriptionTriphylite (bluish mineral), Li(Fe,Mn)PO4, is a rather scarce phosphate mineral. Here it is found in a pegmatite with quartz, muscovite and K-feldspar. Triphylite is closely related to lithiophilite; the two minerals only differ in Mn to Fe ratios. It often alters to form other phosphate minerals. It is generally fine-grained and massive, but it can form euhedral (well-developed) crystals, although rare.
