Description | Beryl is a silicate with the mineral formula Be3Al2(SiO3)6. Beryl is not very well known among the public. It has many varieties, most notably the green variety emerald and the blue variety aquamarine. The name comes from the Greek “berylos”, and the meaning has been lost. This sample is approximately 7 cm. |
