DescriptionCreedite is a hydrated calcium aluminum sulfate hydroxide fluoride. In the photograph, the mamillary mineral is creedite. It can be white, colorless or purple. It is a rare sulfate found as an accessory in highly oxidized ore bodies. It has the composition of Ca3Al2SO4(F,OH)-2H2O. This sample is about 17 cm across.
