DescriptionThis is a view of outcrop of the Honaker Trail Formation (Pennsylvanian, in gully bottom) with red Permian mudstones above. The Honaker Trail Formation is a shallow-water fossiliferous marine limestone. Navajo Sandstone (Jurassic) forms the shadowy cliffs in the distance. This washed out gully is adjacent to U.S. 163 near Bluff, Utah.
