Description | Neptunite has the chemical formula of KNa2Li(Fe,Mn)2Ti2Si8O24. It is in the silicate class. Neptunite is a new discovery, only in this century, and it is a rare mineral. Its most notable occurrence is in the San Benito valley of California. Neptunite is named after the Roman god of the sea, Neptune. This speciman is about 7 cm. |
