Description | Soda-niter, NaNO3, is also called nitratine. It easily dissolves in water and sometimes deliquesces in humid conditions, so it is not very common. It is only found in arid, desert regions or as efflorescences on dry cave or mine walls. The largest of these pieces is 9 cm across. |
