Description | Enargite, Cu3AsS4 (copper arsenic sulfide), is a somewhat rare copper mineral. It is used as a minor ore of copper. Some samples are metallic silver, but drab gray (this specimen) is quite common. Cyclic twinning is common for enargite and can form highly symmetric star shaped crystals. This sample is 9 cm across. |
