Description | Tetrahedrite is Cu12Sb4S13. The name refers to its common crystal shape, although the tetrahedral shape is not visible in this specimen. Tetrahedrite is is a sulphide of antimony and copper, with small quantities of other metals. It is a relatively common ore of copper, and some varieties yield a considerable percentage of silver. This specimen, from the Czech Republic is 8 cm across. |
