| Title | Polydymite, nickel sulfide |
| Description | Polydymite (Ni3S4) is (when fresh) a violet gray, copper red, light gray, or steel gray mineral that forms a series with linnaeite (Co3S4). The name comes from Greek for “many” and “twin” because this mineral often occurs as twinned crystals. This sample, 8 cm across is too fine grained to show twins. |
