TitleStromeyerite with azurite and malachite from Park City, Utah
DescriptionStromeyerite, AgCuS (copper silver sulfide), is an accessory mineral in some Ag-Cu deposits. In this specimen it is dark gray and is covered by blue azurite and blue-green malachite. Stromeyerite is named after the German chemist, F. Stromeyer (1776-1835). This specimen is 4.5 cm across.
