| Description | This 8 cm wide sample contains conspicuous white blades of gypsum, CaSO4•2H2O, mingled with a fine grained mass that is mostly brownish sphalerite, (Zn,Fe)S, but also contains some digenite, Cu9S5. Sphalerite and digenite are both mined for the metals they contain. |
