Description | This sample has pyrite (FeS2) cubes embedded in a chlorite phyllite/schist. Pyrite is one of the most common sulfide minerals and is the classic “fool's Gold”. It comes in many different forms, but bright golden cubes are most common. This specimen is 12.5 cm across. |
